Q1: Is alcohol really effective against germs?
A: Very. Multi-year clinical trials conducted world-wide have shown that alcohol is significantly more effective than soap and water, including antibacterial soaps. The 70% ethanol used in gelFAST has been tested to be effective against more than 99.99% of germs. Read our Fact Sheet on Alcohol Hand Sanitisers for more information.

Q2: Do I still use a towel to dry my hands after using gelFAST?
A: No. The ethanol gel totally evaporates while you are using it. That means no dirty towels, no paper towel waste, no lost time standing at an air dryer.

Q3: Won’t alcohol gel dry out my hands?
A:
Alcohol dries out hands far less than soap and water. While different skin types can react differently to various formulations, gelFAST contains three skin conditioners to keep hands in great shape.

Q4: Can I use moisturising lotion with this product?
A:
Yes, just ensure that the lotion is applied with enough time to be fully absorbed in the skin before using the alcohol gel for hand hygiene. But because gelFAST contains three skin conditioners, you may actually find you use less moisturisers!

Q5: Is gelFAST hypo-allergenic?
A:
Yes. Tests on all of the ingredients in gelFAST show it is excellent for anyone with allergies. And unlike many soaps and other skin cleaners, it does not cause a contact dermatitis with frequent use.

Q6: Can gelFAST be used by children?
A:
The bio-based food safe formulation used in gelFAST means it is non-toxic but it should never be swallowed. gelFAST can be used by children but it should be under direct adult supervision to ensure accidents don’t happen. And supervise until the gel has evaporated. Always keep gelFAST out of reach of children.

Q7: Will spilled alcohol damage my clothing or shoes?
A:
Alcohol gel typically washes out of clothing easily by rubbing gently with a damp cloth. While some different fabrics react differently to alcohol, the gel is generally clothing safe.

Q8: Could GelFAST Anywear leak on me?
A:
Not if used as instructed. gelFAST Anywear was designed specifically to prevent accidental dispensing, and under typical operating conditions should provide trouble-free and spill-free use. The hard shell holster and the unique one-way valve design ensure gel only comes through when the device is used properly.

Q9: Is gelFAST flammable?
A:
The main ingredient in gelFAST is ethanol. In its normal liquid form, ethanol is a highly flammable liquid. In gel form, as it is used in gelFAST, the gelling agents generally trap the amount of ethanol that can burn at any one time making it a very subdued flame when burning. So, yes, gelFAST is flammable but only to a very small degree.

Q10: I want to buy gelFAST for my employees to use. Can I buy it in bulk quantities?
